The Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One are getting some big games news

The Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One are getting some big games news
Sony’s PlayStation 4 console continues to sell well, even if it has been outdone in recent months by the Nintendo Switch.

But while the new hybrid gaming machine has made a great start since its launch in March, it still has plenty of ground to cover to catch up with the PS4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One.

Xbox Games revenue was reported to have risen by 4% in Q3, with Xbox Live users now counting toward 52m active accounts.

Sony, meanwhile, have been celebrating 70m monthly active users and 26.4 million PS Plus-paying members.

It was also recently confirmed that Sony’s gaming division is reporting profits of £944 million, the biggest since 1998.

But while great sales can be boosted by offering good features like PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold, exciting new titles being announced can also have a great effect.

And with E3 2017 just round the corner, there’s bound to be some cracking surprises for fans.

The Sony PlayStation 4 E3 2017 showcase has already got some pretty big predictions being made for it, while fans can also expect updates on titles such as God of War 4 and Days Gone.

And now another big title has also been added to the list, although it only remains a prediction as of this time.

Bloodborne 2 would prove a pretty popular announcement to be made during the PlayStation Showcase.

Fans are desperate to hear more about a potential sequel to the popular PS4 exclusive and one developer is backing Sony to give’em just what they want.

Commenting on a NeoGAF thread, entitled “Do you think we’ll see Bloodborne 2 at E3?” Moon Studios’ Thomas Mahler left a pretty interesting reply.

“I’m 99% certain we’ll see it,” he wrote.

As mentioned above, this is just a prediction being made, albeit, a very popular one.

Earlier in 2017, the Bloodborne and Dark Souls developer From Software were linked to some new projects, reportedly telling Japanese site 4Gamers that it was working on some ambitious new titles.

Interestingly, Bloodborne producers Teruyuki Toriyama and Masaaki Yamagiwa said that one of the studio’s new games would likely launch in 2017.
