Dubai: There is no need to click on the Dubai Police app to use it, thanks to a new feature, ‘Dubai Police Keyboard’, that allows users to access some of the app’s features from the keyboard.
The feature is only available on IOS for now.
Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razouqi, director of the Smart Services Department, said that the new feature will only show the services that the user has added to “favourites” on the main app.
The keyboard feature is automatically downloaded when the main application is downloaded, he explained.
More than 672,000 people downloaded the Dubai Police app during the first half of 2016 on both android and IOS.
During the same period, people used the app to carry out 263,131 transactions on smartphones.
Dubai Police smart services, including payments through mobile phones, the website and Mpay, have amounted to more than Dh88.5 million in the first six months of 2016.
