Mobile Accessories Maker Zagg Marks Its Entry in India

Zagg Inc, a mobile accessory-making firm from the US, on Wednesday announced its entry in to the Indian market. The company would be offering accessories including InvisibleShield screen guards, keyboards, cases, power banks, and audio accessories ranging from Rs. 699 to Rs. 9,999 in India.

“Technology moves fast, and India’s smartphone growth is a prime example of that. At Zagg, we create products that keep up with our customers to make their lives truly mobile. Be it our screen protection that can protect helicopter blades or Bluetooth-enabled tablet keyboards, join us as we continue to offer the best ways to enhance, energize, and elevate your mobile devices,” said Chris Ahern, Managing Director, Zagg International.

The company says it has teamed up with Brilyant, an IT and consumer electronics distribution company, to enter India. Zagg says it will have a “country-wide presence” through with over 18,000 points of sale.

Zagg, with the help of Brilyant, has also collaborated with Croma. The retail store would be selling the mobile accessories by Zagg across India.

For brands such as Zagg that partner with us, Croma is India’s only fully integrated offline-online retailer that offers reach across the country,” said Avijit Mitra, CEO, Croma.

Zagg expects eat some part of the Rs. 6,000 crore mobile accessory business of India. As per IDC, India would overtake the US as the second largest smartphone market globally, which would indirectly boost the mobile accessory market as well
