As notified by NTA, the exact city, date, and shift of JEE Main Paper are available on the official website of NTA. Registered candidates can visit the official website of NTA and login to their account to access the information. The information bulletin available on the website of NTA has the complete list of the centers (cities) where the JEE Main-2019 will be conducted.
Candidates must select any of the four cities of their preference for Paper 1 or 2 or both while filling JEE Main Application Form. An attempt is made to allot the center of examination in one of the cities selected by the candidate. However, there are chances of getting a different city in the adjacent area due to administrative reasons. The final declaration made by NTA regarding the allotment of examination center, date, and the shift will be final, and no request for change shall be entertained in any case.
For those appearing in both Paper 1 &2, the date, center, and shift of examination could be different for paper-1 and paper-2. NTA will release JEE Main Admit Card on its official website in the second week of December
How to Check the Examination City, Date and Shift?
- Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. https://jeemain.nic.in/
- Click on “Login for Examination city, date, and shift” button
- Registered candidates shall enter the following credentials
- Application number
- Password
- Security pin and hit “Login”
- The detail of the examination city, date, and shift will be displayed
JEE Main 2019
NTA will conduct JEE Main twice a year. JEE Main 2019 will be held during January 06-20, 2019 and the second attempt will be conducted during April 06-20, 2019. The examination will be conducted in different shifts. NTA had released the JEE Main 2019 application form for the first attempt on September 01, 2019. It will release the application form for the second attempt on February 08, 2019. JEE Main 2019 result of the first attempt will be declared on January 31, 2019. The result of the second attempt will be announced on April 30, 2019.
JEE Main 2019 will be strictly a computer-based test (CBT). This time, JEE Main will be held twice. Candidates could appear in any or both paper of their preference. Paper-1 is for BE/ B.Tech and Paper-2 is for B.Arch/ B.Planning and it has three parts: Part-1 is Mathematics, Part-II is an Aptitude test, and Part-III is drawing test which will be held in pen paper mode.
JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
NTA will release JEE Main 2019 admit card on December 17, 2018. Candidates shall download the admit card from the official website of NTA. The admit card will have all the details related to the examination viz. center and city of examination, date, shift, the name of the candidate, paper appearing for, and other relevant details of the candidate. Once the admit card is downloaded, the candidate must check it thoroughly for any discrepancy or missing detail. If candidate found any issue in the admit card, he/she must inform NTA regarding the same and get it correct on time.
