Chandigarh: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared the secondary school or Class 10 results on Monday. As many as 4.12 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board exam in the state.

The result will be declared by PSEB chairman Balbir Singh Dhol.

Shruti Vohra from Ropar has topped the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 10 examinations with 98.77%. Amit Yadav from Ludhiana secured second rank with 98.62 %.

Third rank in the state was attained by Simmi Kumari from Ludhiana with 98.31%

Amandeep Verma from Ludhiana secured first position in sports category in PSEB Class 10 examinations with 99.08 % and Jyoti Panwar of Ludhiana got second position in sports category with 98.62 %

Nancy from Patiala attained third position in sports category with 98.31 %.

Mohali ranks lowest among 22 districts with just 2 students in merit list. Over all pass percentage is 57.50% in Class 10. Last year, the pass percentage was 72.25 %.

The students will be able to check the results at http://www.pseb.ac.in/ on May 23.

The PSEB declared Class 12 results on May 13. In all 2,85,138 students appeared in the regular examination and 1,86,278 students cleared the examination. In the open school category 29,677 students appeared and 10,043 cleared.

The overall pass percentage in Class 12 this year dipped to 62.36 % in comparison to 76.77 % in 2016 and 76.24 % in 2015.
