Amazon started to expand Alexa’s reach with the Echo Dot, and now the company’s voice assistant is showing up in even more places. Lexi is a new app that lets iOS 9.0 devices connect with Alexa — meaning if you’ve got an iPhone, you can now talk to Amazon’s assistant without having to buy an Echo or Echo Dot. With Siri, Cortana, and Alexa each growing their own list of exclusive features, it’s nice to see that at least one of the biggest (and best) bots won’t necessarily be restricted to proprietary hardware.

Originally spotted by The Next Web, Lexi is powered by Alexa Voice Services, and lets you get a lot — but not quite all — out of Alexa’s capabilities. Lexi gives users access to most of Alexa’s useful functions, including Skills, smart home controls, re-ordering Amazon products, and, of course, the ability to ask it anything (of course, Siri is more than capable of competing for basic informational requests). You can grab Lexi right now in the App Store for $4.99.
