If you’re single and sitting around during the seemingly endless Coronavirus quarantine, there are plenty of opportunities for online speed dating via various social media platforms, Now, the company that supports that kind of speed dating with virtual security features is offering an opportunity to jump into romance with free credits.

The Meet Group provides interactive live video solutions powering the broadcast and text-based conversations for the apps MeetMe, LOVOO, Skout, Tagged, Plenty of Fish and Growlr. Across that spectrum, Meet Group works to ensure safety and security for its social media connections.

Recently, the live meet-up sections of MeetMe, Skout and Plenty of Fish introduced NextDate speed dating sessions with built-in Meet Group Technology. Running now through May 30, those sites will host Speed Dating Social Hours at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET, every Thursday and Saturday.

To encourage more seekers of social distancing romance to give speed dating a try, Meet Group will reward those who find their match on NextDate. The first 25 couples to match during these Social Hours will receive 8,000 credits redeemable on the MeetMe, Skout, and Plenty of Fish dating apps. The credits are equivalent to $50 per person and can be used to buy and send gifts to members who are live-streaming on the apps or playing NextDate on any of the social media platforms.

It would seem to be a particularly timely opportunity as Meet Group representatives report that its live-streaming apps continue to see 40% video session growth since the pandemic started.
