Drawn to Death, the sketchy, stylized shooter for PlayStation 4 from The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, will be free at launch for PlayStation Plus subscribers, game director David Jaffe announced on the PlayStation Blog today.

“I wanted to find a way to invite all of you PS Plus members into this experience and give you a look at what really excites me about games these days,” Jaffe wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “We’ve been working on Drawn To Death for nearly three years, and over time, it really has become this robust, highly competitive game — and we haven’t even talked about a lot of the new features yet. Needless to say, I thought you could all help us build an unbelievable community for the game.”

Drawn to Death was originally planned as a free-to-play game, but the studio changed its pricing model during development. If you don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription, the shooter-brawler will carry a price tag of $19.99 when it launches April 4.

On the PlayStation Blog, Jaffe also confirms a handful of launch features for Drawn to Death, including “15 action-packed missions” for each of the game’s six characters and lootboxes filled with taunts and skins that players can earn from kills.
