India-based technology innovation firm, Cube26 on Wednesday announced the launch of its new brand – Reos. The company says the Reos brand will help enhance its data science capabilities across various software and hardware products. To that end, it has introduced three new ‘smart apps’ – Reos Camera, Reos Music, and Reos Message – for Android.
At the launch event, Cube26 CEO and co-founder Saurabh Kumar said,”The Reos range is a first step in this direction – with which we offer intuitive and smarter solutions that are build mobile first, and solve India’s unique problems by using artificial intelligence and data mining in unique ways.” He added,”We are on a mission to make devices smarter, both in India and across the world…”
Reos Message is available on Google Play, and is being touted to provide a seamless instant messaging experience with a sorted inbox. Cube26 claims Reos Message utilises the collective intelligence of all its users to prioritise the most relevant and actionable messages while effectively lessening the noise. The app has ‘Instant Cards’ that allow users quick access to information they are looking for. For example, it can extract the PNR number out of a message from railways or can also check for OTP written in the messages for convenience. The app also has a deep integration with Paytm to look after your bill payments.
Reos Music, also available on Google Play, is a simple music app with additional features for online video content, radio, and audio recognition technology, Cube26 says. The Reos Music app can fetch data for the songs that you’re listening to, like its metadata and lyrics. It also features trending videos from the Web and delivers it right there inside the app.
Reos Camera, which has also been listed on Google Play, supposedly provides an enriched photography experience, getting the best of photo editing features in a single click. Highlighting one of the app’s features, Reos Camera provides ‘Artistic Filters’ powered by artificial intelligence – similar to Prisma – which transform pictures into artworks based on Indian themes.
The company also launched the Reos Lite to enhance its smart bulbs range. The Reos Lite bulb comes with features like various modes, schedules, and alerts along with the revamped music sync option. The Reos Lite costs Rs. 1,699 and is available via Flipkart.
Cube26 was earlier in the news when it introduced its Iota smart bulb that can be controlled using a mobile phone application. It uses Internet to learn from you via your mobile phone when to turn on/ off, blink and even send SMS and calls alert. To recall, Cube26, formerly known as PredictGaze, raisedRs. 50 crores in seed funding from Tiger Global and Flipkart.
